Before interviewing authors, poets and media bosses, the reporters practised their skills by interviewing Rachel Broady who, after 20 years as a journalist working for the News of the World, That’s Life magazine, the Manchester Evening News and many other publications, found being interviewed quite a challenge.
Why did you want to be a journalist?
Rachel used to write stories then put it into schoolbooks and her teacher said “you could be a journalist” and it stuck in her head. She has been a journalist now for 20 years. Rachel is very, very nosey.

What was your proudest moment?
Rachel was proud when she got her first scoop which was about an MP who turned down a knighthood.

Rachel can’t say because she has interviewed hundreds and hundreds of people.
Rachel would like to study for a PhD.
